It is the purpose of \u00a7\u00a7&nbsp;<a class=\"law\" title=\"Conditional zoning; declaration of legislative policy and findings; purpose\" href=\"\/15.2-2296\/\">15.2-2296<\/a> through <a class=\"law\" title=\"Same; records\" href=\"\/15.2-2300\/\">15.2-2300<\/a> to provide a more flexible and adaptable <span class=\"dictionary\">zoning<\/span> method to cope with situations found in such zones through conditional <span class=\"dictionary\">zoning<\/span>, whereby a <span class=\"dictionary\">zoning<\/span> reclassification may be allowed subject to certain conditions proffered by the <span class=\"dictionary\">zoning<\/span> applicant for the protection of the community that are not generally applicable to land similarly zoned. The exercise of authority granted pursuant to \u00a7\u00a7&nbsp;<a class=\"law\" title=\"Conditional zoning; declaration of legislative policy and findings; purpose\" href=\"\/15.2-2296\/\">15.2-2296<\/a> through <a class=\"law\" title=\"Same; amendments and variations of conditions\" href=\"\/15.2-2302\/\">15.2-2302<\/a> shall not be construed to limit or restrict powers otherwise granted to any <span class=\"dictionary\">locality<\/span>, nor to affect the validity of any <span class=\"dictionary\">ordinance<\/span> adopted by any such <span class=\"dictionary\">locality<\/span> which would be valid without regard to this section.
