After a <span class=\"dictionary\">hearing<\/span> on the <span class=\"dictionary\">issues<\/span>, the <span class=\"dictionary\">Department<\/span> may refuse to <span class=\"dictionary\">issue<\/span> or may suspend or revoke any such <span class=\"dictionary\">permit<\/span> or authorization if it determines that the <span class=\"dictionary\">organization<\/span> has not complied with the provisions of this article or <span class=\"dictionary\">Department<\/span> regulations. <a id=\"paragraph-285170\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/18.2-340.20\/#B\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section id=\"C\"><p><span class=\"prefix-number\">C.<\/span> Any person aggrieved by a refusal of the <span class=\"dictionary\">Department<\/span> to <span class=\"dictionary\">issue<\/span> any <span class=\"dictionary\">permit<\/span>, the suspension or <span class=\"dictionary\">revocation<\/span> of a <span class=\"dictionary\">permit<\/span>, or any other action of the <span class=\"dictionary\">Department<\/span> may seek review of such action in accordance with Article 4 (&#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Exemptions operation of this article; limitations\" href=\"\/2.2-4025\/\">2.2-4025<\/a> et seq.) of the Administrative Process Act. <a id=\"paragraph-285171\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/18.2-340.20\/#C\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>","plain_text":"                                 CODE OF VIRGINIA\n\nDENIAL, SUSPENSION, OR REVOCATION OF PERMIT; HEARINGS AND APPEALS (\u00a7\n18.2-340.20)\n\nA. The Department may deny, suspend, or revoke the permit of any organization\nfound not to be in strict compliance with the provisions of this article and\nDepartment regulations. The action of the Department in denying, suspending, or\nrevoking any permit shall be subject to the Administrative Process Act (&#xA7;\n2.2-4000 et seq.).\n\nB. Except as provided in &#xA7;&#xA7; 8.01-534, 18.2-340.25, 18.2-340.30,\n18.2-340.30:2, and 18.2-340.36, no permit to conduct charitable gaming or\nauthorization to conduct electronic gaming shall be denied, suspended, or\nrevoked, and no charitable games or funds from charitable gaming operations\nshall be seized, except upon notice stating the proposed basis for such action\nand the time and place for the hearing. At the discretion of the Department,\nhearings may be conducted by hearing officers who shall be selected from the\nlist prepared by the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court. After a hearing\non the issues, the Department may refuse to issue or may suspend or revoke any\nsuch permit or authorization if it determines that the organization has not\ncomplied with the provisions of this article or Department regulations.\n\nC.
