In determining such geographical representation, ex officio members of the <span class=\"dictionary\">Board<\/span> may be considered to represent the region in which they serve in their official capacity. <a id=\"paragraph-211542\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/2.2-2235.1\/#B2\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section id=\"C\"><p><span class=\"prefix-number\">C.<\/span> After the initial staggering of terms, members shall serve terms of four years, except that ex officio members of the <span class=\"dictionary\">Board<\/span> shall serve terms coincident with their terms of office. No member shall be eligible to serve more than two terms; however, after the expiration of the term of a member appointed to serve three years or less, two additional terms may be served if appointed thereto. Any appointment to fill a vacancy shall be for the unexpired term. A person appointed to fill a vacancy may be appointed to serve two additional terms. All members shall be reimbursed for all reasonable and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties as provided in &#xA7;&#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Definitions; compensation and expense payments from state funds for service on collegial bodies\" href=\"\/2.2-2813\/\">2.2-2813<\/a> and <a class=\"law\" title=\"Reimbursement for certain travel expenditures; restrictions on reimbursement\" href=\"\/2.2-2825\/\">2.2-2825<\/a>. Funding for the costs of compensation and expenses of the members shall be provided by the <span class=\"dictionary\">Authority<\/span>. <a id=\"paragraph-211544\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/2.2-2235.1\/#D\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section id=\"E\"><p><span class=\"prefix-number\">E.<\/span> The <span class=\"dictionary\">Board<\/span> shall be deemed a supervisory <span class=\"dictionary\">board<\/span> within the meaning of &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Classification of executive branch boards, commissions and councils\" href=\"\/2.2-2100\/\">2.2-2100<\/a>. <a id=\"paragraph-211545\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/2.2-2235.1\/#E\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section id=\"F\"><p><span class=\"prefix-number\">F.<\/span> The <span class=\"dictionary\">Board<\/span> shall elect a chairman from the nonlegislative citizen members of the <span class=\"dictionary\">Board<\/span>, and the Secretary of Commerce and Trade shall serve as vice-chairman. The <span class=\"dictionary\">Board<\/span> shall also elect a secretary and a treasurer, who need not be members of the <span class=\"dictionary\">Board<\/span>, and may also elect other subordinate officers, who need not be members of the <span class=\"dictionary\">Board<\/span>. The Chairman and the Vice-chairman, with approval by the <span class=\"dictionary\">Board<\/span>, shall create an executive committee of the <span class=\"dictionary\">Board<\/span>.
