Each of the nonlegislative citizen members appointed by the Governor and\nthe Joint Rules Committee shall possess expertise in at least one of the\nfollowing areas: marketing; international commerce; finance or grant\nadministration; state, regional, or local economic development; measuring the\neffectiveness of incentive programs; law; information technology;\ntransportation; workforce development; manufacturing; biotechnology;\ncybersecurity; defense; energy; or any other industry identified in the\ncomprehensive economic development policy developed pursuant to \u00a7 2.2-205.\n\n 2. Each of the nine regions defined by the Virginia Growth and Opportunity\n Board pursuant to subdivision A 1 of § 2.2-2486 shall be represented by\n at least one member of the Board. In determining such geographical\n representation, ex officio members of the Board may be considered to represent\n the region in which they serve in their official capacity.\n\nC. After the initial staggering of terms, members shall serve terms of four\nyears, except that ex officio members of the Board shall serve terms coincident\nwith their terms of office. No member shall be eligible to serve more than two\nterms; however, after the expiration of the term of a member appointed to serve\nthree years or less, two additional terms may be served if appointed thereto.\nAny appointment to fill a vacancy shall be for the unexpired term. The Chairman and the Vice-chairman, with approval by the\nBoard, shall create an executive committee of the Board. The Board may also form\nadvisory committees, which may include representatives who are not members of\nthe Board, to undertake more extensive study and discussion of the issues before\nthe Board.\n\nG.
