In cooperation with the Department of General Services, the Department of Environmental Quality shall increase the awareness of state agencies as to the benefits of using such products.C\n\nThe Department of General Services shall:1\n\nEnsure that the Commonwealth&#8217;s procurement guidelines for state agencies promote the use of recycled goods.2\n\nPromote the Commonwealth&#8217;s interest in the use of recycled products to vendors.3\n\nMake agencies aware of the availability of recycled goods, including those that use post-consumer and other recovered materials processed by Virginia-based companies.4\n\nMake agencies aware of the availability of recycled materials and products certified as climate positive. In cooperation with the Department of General <span class=\"dictionary\">Services<\/span>, the Department of Environmental Quality shall increase the awareness of state agencies as to the benefits of using such products. <a id=\"paragraph-308573\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/2.2-4323\/#B\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section id=\"C\"><p><span class=\"prefix-number\">C.<\/span> The Department of General <span class=\"dictionary\">Services<\/span> shall: <a id=\"paragraph-308574\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/2.2-4323\/#C\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section id=\"C1\" class=\"indent-1\"><p><span class=\"prefix-number\">1.<\/span> Ensure that the Commonwealth&#8217;s procurement guidelines for state agencies promote the use of recycled <span class=\"dictionary\">goods<\/span>. <a id=\"paragraph-308575\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/2.2-4323\/#C1\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section id=\"C2\" class=\"indent-1\"><p><span class=\"prefix-number\">2.<\/span> Promote the Commonwealth&#8217;s interest in the use of recycled products to vendors. <a id=\"paragraph-308576\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/2.2-4323\/#C2\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section id=\"C3\" class=\"indent-1\"><p><span class=\"prefix-number\">3.<\/span> Make agencies aware of the availability of recycled <span class=\"dictionary\">goods<\/span>, including those that use post-consumer and other recovered <span class=\"dictionary\">materials<\/span> processed by Virginia-based companies. <a id=\"paragraph-308577\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/2.2-4323\/#C3\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section id=\"C4\" class=\"indent-1\"><p><span class=\"prefix-number\">4.<\/span> Make agencies aware of the availability of recycled <span class=\"dictionary\">materials<\/span> and products certified as <span class=\"dictionary\">climate positive<\/span>. For purposes of this subdivision, &#8220;<span class=\"dictionary\">climate positive<\/span>&#8221; means having a negative carbon footprint. <a id=\"paragraph-308578\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/2.2-4323\/#C4\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section id=\"D\"><p><span class=\"prefix-number\">D.<\/span> All state agencies shall, to the greatest extent possible, adhere to the procurement program guidelines for recycled products to be established by the Department of General <span class=\"dictionary\">Services<\/span>. <a id=\"paragraph-308579\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/2.2-4323\/#D\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>","plain_text":"                                 CODE OF VIRGINIA\n\nPURCHASE PROGRAMS FOR RECYCLED GOODS; AGENCY RESPONSIBILITIES (\u00a7 2.2-4323)\n\nA.
