For residents, this license shall be in lieu of the state resident freshwater fishing license required by subdivision A 2 of &#xA7; 29.1-310, and the saltwater recreational license required by &#xA7; 28.2-302.1. The cost of this license for residents shall be the sum of the costs of the two component resident licenses. For nonresidents, this license shall be in lieu of the state nonresident freshwater fishing license required by subdivision A 3 of &#xA7; 29.1-310 and the saltwater recreational license required by &#xA7; 28.2-302.1. The cost of this license for nonresidents shall be the sum of the costs of the two component nonresident licenses.\n\t\t\t\tAgents of the Commission shall retain the agent&#8217;s fee established by the Board of Wildlife Resources pursuant to subsection B of &#xA7; 29.1-327, except that the agent&#8217;s fee shall be deducted from the license fee established by the Commission pursuant to subdivision 4 of &#xA7; 28.2-201, as compensation for issuing each license. Of the funds collected under this subdivision, (i) the cost of the component saltwater license shall be paid into the state treasury to the credit of the Virginia Saltwater Recreational Fishing Development Fund, as established in &#xA7; 28.2-302.3, and (ii) the cost of the component freshwater fishing license shall be paid into the state treasury to the credit of the Game Protection Fund, as established in &#xA7; 29.1-101.\n\t\t\t\tThe two component licenses shall be independently priced by their respective agencies. The saltwater recreational license shall be priced by the Commission pursuant to &#xA7; 28.2-201. The freshwater fishing license shall be priced by the Board of Wildlife Resources pursuant to &#xA7; 29.1-103.2\n\nA special combined sportfishing license to fish in all the tidal waters of the Commonwealth during the open season that covers the owner of a recreational boat not carrying anglers for hire, in any registered boat owned and operated by him, and his passengers. For residents, this license shall be in lieu of the state resident fishing license required by subdivision A 2 of &#xA7; 29.1-310, the saltwater recreational license required by &#xA7; 28.2-302.1, and the saltwater recreational boat license established by &#xA7; 28.2-302.7. The cost of this license for residents shall be $125. For nonresidents, this license shall be in lieu of the state nonresident fishing license required by subdivision A 3 of &#xA7; 29.1-310 and the saltwater recreational license required by &#xA7; 28.2-302.1. This license shall be in lieu of the trip fishing license specified in subsection A of &#xA7; 29.1-311 and the saltwater recreational license required by &#xA7; 28.2-302.1. The cost of the license shall be $10.50 for residents and $15.50 for nonresidents. The license shall be valid for five successive days as specified on the face of the license. Agents of the Commission shall retain the agent&#8217;s fee established pursuant to subsection B of &#xA7; 29.1-327, except that the agent&#8217;s fee shall be deducted from the license fee established by the Commission pursuant to subdivision 4 of &#xA7; 28.2-201, as compensation for issuing each license. For <span class=\"dictionary\">residents<\/span>, this license shall be in lieu of the state <span class=\"dictionary\">resident<\/span> <span class=\"dictionary\">fishing<\/span> license required by subdivision A 2 of &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Fees to fish\" href=\"\/29.1-310\/\">29.1-310<\/a>, the saltwater recreational license required by &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Recreational license required\" href=\"\/28.2-302.1\/\">28.2-302.1<\/a>, and the saltwater recreational boat license established by &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Recreational boat; reporting of catch\" href=\"\/28.2-302.7\/\">28.2-302.7<\/a>. The cost of this license for <span class=\"dictionary\">residents<\/span> shall be $125. For nonresidents, this license shall be in lieu of the state nonresident <span class=\"dictionary\">fishing<\/span> license required by subdivision A 3 of &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Fees to fish\" href=\"\/29.1-310\/\">29.1-310<\/a> and the saltwater recreational license required by &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Recreational license required\" href=\"\/28.2-302.1\/\">28.2-302.1<\/a>. The cost of this license for nonresidents shall be $200.\n\t\t\t\tAgents of the <span class=\"dictionary\">Commission<\/span> shall retain the agent&#8217;s fee established by the Board of Wildlife Resources pursuant to subsection B of &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Agents for sale of licenses and permits; sales by telephone and electronic media\" href=\"\/29.1-327\/\">29.1-327<\/a>, except that the agent&#8217;s fee shall be deducted from the license fee established by the <span class=\"dictionary\">Commission<\/span> pursuant to subdivision 4 of &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Authority of Commission to make regulations, establish licenses, and prepare fishery management plans; accept federal grants; enforcement; penalty for violation of regulation\" href=\"\/28.2-201\/\">28.2-201<\/a>, as compensation for issuing each license. Of the funds collected under this subdivision, (i) $48 per <span class=\"dictionary\">resident<\/span> license sold and $76 per nonresident license sold shall be paid into the state treasury to the credit of the Virginia Saltwater Recreational <span class=\"dictionary\">Fishing<\/span> Development Fund, as established in &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Virginia Saltwater Recreational Fishing Development Fund established\" href=\"\/28.2-302.3\/\">28.2-302.3<\/a>, and (ii) $77 per <span class=\"dictionary\">resident<\/span> license sold and $124 per nonresident sold shall be paid into the state treasury to the credit of the Game Protection Fund, as established in &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Game Protection Fund\" href=\"\/29.1-101\/\">29.1-101<\/a>. <a id=\"paragraph-310930\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/28.2-302.2_1\/#A2\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section id=\"B\"><p><span class=\"prefix-number\">B.<\/span> <span class=\"dictionary\">Residents<\/span> and nonresidents of the Commonwealth may obtain a special combined sportfishing trip license <span class=\"dictionary\">to fish<\/span> in all inland waters and tidal waters of the Commonwealth during the open season. This license shall be in lieu of the trip <span class=\"dictionary\">fishing<\/span> license specified in subsection A of &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Trip fishing license for residents and nonresidents; trout stocked waters\" href=\"\/29.1-311\/\">29.1-311<\/a> and the saltwater recreational license required by &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Recreational license required\" href=\"\/28.2-302.1\/\">28.2-302.1<\/a>. The cost of the license shall be $10.50 for <span class=\"dictionary\">residents<\/span> and $15.50 for nonresidents. The license shall be valid for five successive days as specified on the face of the license. Agents of the <span class=\"dictionary\">Commission<\/span> shall retain the agent&#8217;s fee established pursuant to subsection B of &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Agents for sale of licenses and permits; sales by telephone and electronic media\" href=\"\/29.1-327\/\">29.1-327<\/a>, except that the agent&#8217;s fee shall be deducted from the license fee established by the <span class=\"dictionary\">Commission<\/span> pursuant to subdivision 4 of &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Authority of Commission to make regulations, establish licenses, and prepare fishery management plans; accept federal grants; enforcement; penalty for violation of regulation\" href=\"\/28.2-201\/\">28.2-201<\/a>, as compensation for issuing each license. Of the funds collected under this subsection, (i) $5 per license sold shall be paid into the state treasury to the credit of the Virginia Saltwater Recreational <span class=\"dictionary\">Fishing<\/span> Development Fund and (ii) $5 per <span class=\"dictionary\">resident<\/span> license sold and $10 per nonresident license sold shall be paid into the state treasury to the credit of the Game Protection Fund. <a id=\"paragraph-310931\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/28.2-302.2_1\/#B\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section id=\"C\"><p><span class=\"prefix-number\">C.<\/span> The <span class=\"dictionary\">Commission<\/span> may subsequently revise the cost of licenses in this section pursuant to &#xA7; <a class=\"law\" title=\"Authority of Commission to make regulations, establish licenses, and prepare fishery management plans; accept federal grants; enforcement; penalty for violation of regulation\" href=\"\/28.2-201\/\">28.2-201<\/a>. <a id=\"paragraph-310932\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/28.2-302.2_1\/#C\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>","plain_text":"                                 CODE OF VIRGINIA\n\nSPECIAL COMBINED INDIVIDUAL SPORTFISHING LICENSES (\u00a7 28.2-302.2:1)\n\nA. Residents and nonresidents of the Commonwealth may obtain:\n\n   1. A special combined sportfishing license to fish in all inland waters and\n   the tidal waters of the Commonwealth during the open season. For residents,\n   this license shall be in lieu of the state resident freshwater fishing license\n   required by subdivision A 2 of &#xA7; 29.1-310, and the saltwater recreational\n   license required by &#xA7; 28.2-302.1. The cost of this license for residents\n   shall be the sum of the costs of the two component resident licenses. Of the funds collected under this\n   subdivision, (i) the cost of the component saltwater license shall be paid\n   into the state treasury to the credit of the Virginia Saltwater Recreational\n   Fishing Development Fund, as established in &#xA7; 28.2-302.3, and (ii) the\n   cost of the component freshwater fishing license shall be paid into the state\n   treasury to the credit of the Game Protection Fund, as established in &#xA7;\n   29.1-101.\n   \t\t\t\tThe two component licenses shall be independently priced by their\n   respective agencies. The saltwater recreational license shall be priced by the\n   Commission pursuant to &#xA7; 28.2-201. The freshwater fishing license shall\n   be priced by the Board of Wildlife Resources pursuant to &#xA7; 29.1-103.\n\n   2. A special combined sportfishing license to fish in all the tidal waters of\n   the Commonwealth during the open season that covers the owner of a\n   recreational boat not carrying anglers for hire, in any registered boat owned\n   and operated by him, and his passengers. For residents, this license shall be\n   in lieu of the state resident fishing license required by subdivision A 2 of\n   &#xA7; 29.1-310, the saltwater recreational license required by &#xA7;\n   28.2-302.1, and the saltwater recreational boat license established by &#xA7;\n   28.2-302.7. The cost of this license for residents shall be $125. For\n   nonresidents, this license shall be in lieu of the state nonresident fishing\n   license required by subdivision A 3 of &#xA7; 29.1-310 and the saltwater\n   recreational license required by &#xA7; 28.2-302.1. The cost of this license\n   for nonresidents shall be $200.\n   \t\t\t\tAgents of the Commission shall retain the agent&#8217;s fee established by\n   the Board of Wildlife Resources pursuant to subsection B of &#xA7; 29.1-327,\n   except that the agent&#8217;s fee shall be deducted from the license fee\n   established by the Commission pursuant to subdivision 4 of &#xA7; 28.2-201, as\n   compensation for issuing each license.
