<a class=\"law\" title=\"Definitions\" href=\"\/28.2-1300\/\">28.2-1300<\/a>, (iv) hunting waterfowl from a boat or other floating conveyance, (v) hunting doves, (vi) participating in hunting dog field <span class=\"dictionary\">trials<\/span> permitted by the <span class=\"dictionary\">Board<\/span>, (vii) on horseback while hunting foxes with hounds but without <span class=\"dictionary\">firearms<\/span>, or (viii) hunting with a bow and arrow in areas where the discharge of <span class=\"dictionary\">firearms<\/span> is prohibited by state <span class=\"dictionary\">law<\/span> or local <span class=\"dictionary\">ordinance<\/span>. <a id=\"paragraph-217339\" class=\"section-permalink\" href=\"https:\/\/vacode.org\/29.1-530.1\/#F\"><i class=\"fa fa-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>","plain_text":"                                 CODE OF VIRGINIA\n\nSOLID BLAZE ORANGE OR SOLID BLAZE PINK CLOTHING REQUIRED AT CERTAIN TIMES (\u00a7\n29.1-530.1)\n\nA. For the purposes of this section, &#8220;solid blaze orange&#8221; means a\nsafety orange or fluorescent orange hue and &#8220;solid blaze pink&#8221; means\na safety pink or fluorescent pink hue.\n\nB. During any firearms deer season, except during the special season for hunting\ndeer with a muzzle-loading rifle only, in counties and cities designated by the\nBoard, every hunter and every person accompanying a hunter shall (i) wear a\nsolid blaze orange or solid blaze pink hat, except that the bill or brim of the\nhat may be a color or design other than solid blaze orange or solid blaze pink,\nor solid blaze orange or solid blaze pink upper body clothing that is visible\nfrom 360 degrees, (ii) display at least 100 square inches of solid blaze orange\nor solid blaze pink material at shoulder level within body reach visible from\n360 degrees, or (iii) when hunting from an enclosed ground blind, display at\nleast 100 square inches of solid blaze orange or solid blaze pink material\nvisible from 360 degrees attached to or immediately above a blind.\n\nC. During the special season for hunting deer with a muzzle-loading rifle only,\nin counties and cities designated by the Board, every muzzleloader deer hunter\nand every person accompanying a muzzleloader deer hunter shall wear (i) a solid\nblaze orange or solid blaze pink hat, except that the bill or brim of the hat\nmay be a color or design other than solid blaze orange or solid blaze pink, or\n(ii) solid blaze orange or solid blaze pink upper body clothing, either of which\nshall be visible from 360 degrees, unless such person is physically located in a\ntree stand or other stationary hunting location.\n\nD. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction,\npay a fine of $25.\n\nE. Violations of this section shall not be admissible in any civil action for\npersonal injury or death as evidence of negligence, contributory negligence, or\nassumption of the risk.\n\nF.
