Minimum calcium carbonate equivalents as prescribed by regulation;6\n\nThe Effective Neutralizing Value of the liming material as calculated using the following formula:\n\t\t\t\t(percent by weight passing 20 mesh sieves – percent by weight passing 60 mesh sieves) x 0.4 = (a)\n\t\t\t\t(percent by weight passing 60 mesh sieves – percent by weight passing 100 mesh sieves) x 0.8 = (b)\n\t\t\t\t(percent by weight passing 100 mesh sieves) x 1.0 = (c)\n\t\t\t\t[(a+b+c) x Calcium Carbonate Equivalent (CCE)] divided by 100 = ENV;7\n\nThe minimum percentage by weight passing through United States Standard sieves as prescribed by regulations; and8\n\nThe name and principal office address of the manufacturer or distributor of the liming material.B\n\nFor any fluid liming material or any packaged liming material-fertilizer mixture, the label shall also include the following information:1\n\nThe kind of liming material used in the manufacture of the product;2\n\nThe type of agricultural liming material used in the manufacture of the product, if applicable;3\n\nThe guaranteed analysis of the final product; The record of its establishment is cataloged in chapter 647 of that year\u2019s edition of \u201cActs of Assembly,\u201d the annual state publication listing all changes made to the Code of Virginia in that year. Unfortunately, the 1974 \u201cActs\u201d aren\u2019t available online. It has been modified 2 times. Those modifications are cataloged by \u201cThe Acts of Assembly,\u201d a state publication, by year and chapter. 4.<\/span> A statement setting forth the equivalency of the calcium carbonate equivalent<\/span> of the fluid liming material or liming material-fertilizer mixture to the calcium carbonate equivalent<\/span> of a standard liming ton<\/span>. <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

C.<\/span> For any bulk<\/span> liming material-fertilizer mixture, except when the ingredients are billed separately, the label<\/span> shall also include the following information: <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

1.<\/span> The kind<\/span> of liming material used in the manufacture of the product; <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

2.<\/span> The type<\/span> of agricultural liming material<\/span> used in the manufacture of the product, if applicable; <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

3.<\/span> The guaranteed analysis of the final product; and <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

4.<\/span> A statement setting forth the equivalency of the calcium carbonate equivalent<\/span> of the fluid liming material or liming material-fertilizer mixture to the calcium carbonate equivalent<\/span> of a standard liming ton<\/span>. <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

D.<\/span> If the ingredients of the bulk<\/span> liming material-fertilizer mixture are billed separately, the label<\/span> shall also include the following information: <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

1.<\/span> The kind<\/span> of liming material used in the manufacture of the product; <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

2.<\/span> The type<\/span> of agricultural liming material<\/span> used in the manufacture of the product, if applicable; <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

3.<\/span> The dry weight of the liming material used in the manufacture of the product before mixing; <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

4.<\/span> The guaranteed analysis of the liming material used in the manufacture of the product before mixing; and <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

5.<\/span> The guaranteed analysis of the fertilizer used in the manufacture of the product before mixing. <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

E.<\/span> For any industrial co-product used to neutralize soil acid<\/span>, the product label<\/span> shall include the statement “Industrial co-product used to neutralize soil acid<\/span>.” If the product is below the Virginia minimum standard requirements for an agricultural liming material<\/span> as defined in the regulations, the statement “Substandard liming material<\/span>” shall also be on the label<\/span>. <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

F.<\/span> All liming material shall be labeled as registered with the Commissioner<\/span>. <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

G.<\/span> No information or statement shall appear on any package, label<\/span>, delivery slip or advertising matter that is false or misleading to the purchaser as to the quality, analysis, kind<\/span>, type<\/span> or composition of the liming material. <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

H.<\/span> In the case of any liming material that has been adulterated subsequent to packaging, labeling or loading, and before delivery to the consumer, a plainly marked notice to that effect shall be affixed by the vendor to the package or delivery slip to identify the kind<\/span> and degree of such adulteration. <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

I.<\/span> The Board<\/span> may require by regulation that the minimum percentage<\/span> of calcium oxide, magnesium oxide, calcium carbonate, and magnesium carbonate shall be expressed in the following form:\n\t\t\tTotal Calcium (Ca)..…%\n\t\t\tTotal Magnesium (Mg)..…% <\/i><\/a><\/p><\/section>","plain_text":" CODE OF VIRGINIA\n\nLABELING (\u00a7 3.2-3706)\n\nA. Any liming material sold, offered or exposed for sale in the Commonwealth\nshall have affixed to the outside of each package in a conspicuous manner, a\nplainly printed, stamped or otherwise marked label, tag or statement, or in the\ncase of bulk sales, a statement on the delivery slip, setting forth in the\nEnglish language at least the following information:\n\n 1. The quantity statement of the liming material;\n\n 2. The brand or trade name of the liming material;\n\n 3. The minimum percentage by weight passing through United States Standard\n sieves as prescribed by regulations; and\n\n 8. The name and principal office address of the manufacturer or distributor of\n the liming material.\n\nB. For any fluid liming material or any packaged liming material-fertilizer\nmixture, the label shall also include the following information:\n\n 1. The kind of liming material used in the manufacture of the product;\n\n 2. The type of agricultural liming material used in the manufacture of the\n product, if applicable;\n\n 3. The guaranteed analysis of the final product; and\n\n 4.
