The “Interstate System” also includes highways or highway segments in the Commonwealth that constitute a part of the Dwight D. A highway may include two or more roadways\nif divided by a physical barrier or barriers or unpaved areas.\n\t\t“Secondary highway” means any highway in or component of the\nsecondary state highway system.\n\t\t“Secondary state highway system” consists of all public highways,\ncauseways, bridges, landings, and wharves in the counties of the Commonwealth\nnot included in the primary state highway system and that have been accepted by\nthe Department of Transportation for supervision and maintenance.\n\t\t“Secretary” means the Secretary of Transportation.\n\t\t“Systems of state highways” has the meaning assigned to it in \u00a7\n1-251.\n\t\t“Urban highway system” consists of those public highways, or\nportions thereof, not included in the systems of state highways, to which the\nCommonwealth Transportation Board directs payments pursuant to \u00a7 33.2-319.\n\nHISTORY: 2014, c. 805; 2015, c. 256.","edition":{"id":1,"name":"2025","slug":"2025","date_created":"2026-06-21 22:39:22","date_modified":"2026-06-21 22:39:22","current":1,"order_by":1,"last_import":null}}
