The Board may issue a salesperson’s license to an applicant, as\nrequired by \u00a7 46.2-1508, even though the applicant is not employed by a motor\nvehicle dealer if (i) the applicant has been certified pursuant to \u00a7 46.2-1512\nand is employed by a person that has contracted in writing with a dealer or\ndealers to provide temporary personnel for the sale of products and services to\ninclude but not be limited to providing payment, financing and leasing\nalternatives; and offering and selling extended service agreements, prepaid\nmaintenance agreements, and similar products and services that are sold in\nconnection with the sale of a vehicle; provided, however, that such persons do\nnot negotiate for the sale of the vehicle but may complete the required\npaperwork for the sale of the vehicle in addition to the other products and\nservices being offered or to provide training to salespersons employed by a\ndealer, and (ii) the applicant meets the other qualifications to be licensed as\na salesperson under this chapter. The requirements of \u00a7\u00a7 46.2-1518 and\n46.2-1537 shall not apply to any such salesperson so licensed, provided that any\nsalesperson so licensed:\n\n 1. May only act as a salesperson for a dealer who has a contract with the\n salesperson’s employer as provided in this subsection;\n\n 2. Shall carry his license when engaged in business and shall display it upon\n request; and\n\n 3.
