Compensation for such services shall either be provided by the local governing body directly to such collection agents or by means of an expense in the treasurer&#8217;s budget or shall be withheld by the agent from the amount collected. Unfortunately, the 1987 \u201cActs\u201d aren\u2019t available online. It has been modified 4 times. Those modifications are cataloged by \u201cThe Acts of Assembly,\u201d a state publication, by year and chapter.
