CODE OF VIRGINIA UNLAWFUL TO THREATEN OR HINDER SURVEYOR; RIGHTS OF SURVEYOR; PENALTY (§ 28.2-557) It is unlawful for any person to threaten, resist, or in any manner interfere with a surveyor in the performance of duties relating to oyster grounds. The surveyor shall have the right to enter upon any person’s lands in the performance of his duties. A violation of this section is a Class 3 misdemeanor.
