MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR PRISONERS (§ 53.1-133.01)

Any sheriff or superintendent may establish a medical treatment program for
prisoners in which prisoners participate and pay towards a portion of the costs
thereof. The State Board of Local and Regional Jails shall develop a model plan
and promulgate regulations for such program, and shall provide assistance, if
requested, to the sheriff or superintendent in the implementation of a program.
