						<section id="A"><p><span class="prefix-number">A.</span> The Board is authorized to receive and administer grants from agencies of the United States government, and gifts, bequests and devises of property, and to expend or authorize the expenditure of funds derived from such sources and funds appropriated by the General Assembly to the Museum. <a id="paragraph-253092" class="section-permalink" href="https://vacode.org/10.1-2011/#A"><i class="fa fa-link"/></a></p></section>
						<section id="B"><p><span class="prefix-number">B.</span> Notwithstanding any <span class="dictionary">law</span> to the contrary, the Museum shall be deemed to be an institution of higher education within the meaning of &#xA7;&#xA7; <a class="law" title="Endowment funds of public institutions of higher education" href="/23.1-101/">23.1-101</a> and <a class="law" title="Localities; conveyance of property and appropriation of funds to Commonwealth for certain educational purposes" href="/23.1-103/">23.1-103</a>. <a id="paragraph-253093" class="section-permalink" href="https://vacode.org/10.1-2011/#B"><i class="fa fa-link"/></a></p></section></text><history>1988, cc. 707, 891; 2004, c. 870.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
