						<section><p>The Commission shall appoint a clerk and his deputies and assistants, a <span class="dictionary">bailiff</span>, all necessary heads and assistant heads of divisions and bureaus, all necessary regular and special <span class="dictionary">counsel</span> notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter 5 (&#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Attorney General to be chief executive officer; duties generally" href="/2.2-500/">2.2-500</a> et seq.) of Title 2.2, and such other subordinates and employees as may be necessary to the proper discharge of its duties, all of whom shall serve at the pleasure of the Commission.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 12-39; 1971, Ex.
