						<section><p>Every <span class="dictionary">locality</span>, unless otherwise provided for by general <span class="dictionary">law</span> or special act or unless such functions are performed by the constitutional offices of treasurer and commissioner of the revenue, shall appoint an officer to be responsible for its financial affairs. Such person shall work with the above-mentioned constitutional offices in performing his duties and shall perform such other related duties as may be assigned to him by the <span class="dictionary">governing body</span>.</p></section></text><history>1997, c. 587.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
