						<section><p>For the purpose of <span class="dictionary">zoning</span>, the <span class="dictionary">governing body</span> of a <span class="dictionary">county</span> shall have <span class="dictionary">jurisdiction</span> over all the unincorporated territory in the <span class="dictionary">county</span>, and the <span class="dictionary">governing body</span> of a municipality shall have <span class="dictionary">jurisdiction</span> over the incorporated area of the municipality.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7;&#xA7; 15-819, 15-844, 15-968; 1962, c. 407, &#xA7; 15.1-486; 1966, c. 344; 1969, Ex.
