						<section><p>The <span class="dictionary">locality</span> may establish one or more separate <span class="dictionary">benefit zones</span> within the <span class="dictionary">business improvement and recruitment district</span> based upon the degree of benefit derived from the <span class="dictionary">activities</span> to be provided within the <span class="dictionary">benefit zone</span> and may impose a different <span class="dictionary">fee</span> within each <span class="dictionary">benefit zone</span>. The <span class="dictionary">locality</span> may also define categories of businesses based upon the degree of benefit that each will derive from the <span class="dictionary">activities</span> to be provided within the <span class="dictionary">business improvement and recruitment district</span> and may impose a different <span class="dictionary">fee</span> or rate of <span class="dictionary">fee</span> on each category of business, or on each category of business within each zone.</p></section></text><history>2023, c. 745.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
