						<section><p>If <span class="dictionary">voters</span> approve the adoption of an optional form of government in accordance with &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Petition or resolution asking for referendum; notice; conduct of election" href="/15.2-301/">15.2-301</a>, the members of the <span class="dictionary">governing body</span> shall be elected at the next succeeding November general election.
