						<section><p>The <span class="dictionary">court</span> shall by <span class="dictionary">order</span> fix a time within which a <span class="dictionary">voter</span>, property owner, other person or political subdivision not served may become a <span class="dictionary">party</span> to proceedings instituted under this article for the creation of a consolidated <span class="dictionary">city</span> and thereafter no such <span class="dictionary">petition</span> shall be received, except for good cause shown. A copy of the <span class="dictionary">order</span> shall be published at least once a week for two successive weeks in a newspaper or newspapers of general circulation in the localities proposing to consolidate and in the counties and cities contiguous thereto.</p></section></text><history>1979, c. 85, &#xA7; 15.1-1130.5; 1997, c. 587.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
