						<section><p>The special <span class="dictionary">court</span> shall by <span class="dictionary">order</span> fix a time within which a <span class="dictionary">voter</span>, property owner, person having an interest, or <span class="dictionary">locality</span> not served may become a <span class="dictionary">party</span> to proceedings instituted under this chapter, and thereafter no such <span class="dictionary">petition</span> shall be received, except for good cause shown. A copy of the <span class="dictionary">order</span> shall be published at least once a week for two successive weeks in a newspaper or newspapers of general circulation in the <span class="dictionary">county</span> and in the adjoining or adjacent counties and cities.</p></section></text><history>1979, c. 85, &#xA7; 15.1-977.6; 1997, c. 587.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
