						<section><p>If they have specified the initial purpose or purposes of the <span class="dictionary">authority</span> and insofar as practicable, any project or projects to be undertaken by the <span class="dictionary">authority</span>, the governing bodies of any of the localities organizing an <span class="dictionary">authority</span> may, at any time by <span class="dictionary">ordinance</span> or resolution, after a public <span class="dictionary">hearing</span>, and with or without a <span class="dictionary">referendum</span>, specify further projects to be undertaken by the <span class="dictionary">authority</span>. No other projects shall be undertaken by the <span class="dictionary">authority</span> than those so specified. If the governing bodies of the localities organizing the <span class="dictionary">authority</span> fail to specify any project or projects to be undertaken, then the <span class="dictionary">authority</span> shall be deemed to have all the powers granted by this chapter.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 15-764.9; 1950, p. 1316; 1962, c. 623, &#xA7; 15.1-1247; 1984, c. 239; 1997, c. 587.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
