						<section><p>The powers of the Authority shall be vested in the directors of the Authority. The <span class="dictionary">governing body</span> of each participating political subdivision shall appoint either one or two directors, one of whom shall be a member of the appointing <span class="dictionary">governing body</span> or its chief operating officer. In the event there are two or fewer participating <span class="dictionary">jurisdictions</span> in the Authority, each participating <span class="dictionary">jurisdiction</span> shall appoint two directors.
		The <span class="dictionary">governing body</span> of each political subdivision shall be empowered to remove at any time, without cause, any director appointed by it and appoint a successor director to fill the unexpired portion of the removed director&#x2019;s term.
		If financial funds are available, each director may be reimbursed by the Authority for the amount of actual expenses incurred by him in the performance of his duties.</p></section></text><history>2002, c. 766.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
