						<section><p>Notwithstanding the provisions of &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Localities may name streets, roads and alleys" href="/15.2-2019/">15.2-2019</a> or <a class="law" title="Naming highways, bridges, interchanges, and other transportation facilities" href="/33.2-213/">33.2-213</a>, the board may by <span class="dictionary">ordinance</span> name any section of U.S. Route 29 located within the boundaries of the <span class="dictionary">locality</span>. The Department of Transportation shall place and maintain appropriate signs indicating the name of such highway, and the costs of producing, placing, and maintaining these signs shall be paid by the <span class="dictionary">locality</span>.</p></section></text><history>2021, Sp.
