						<section><p>In addition to the power and authority conferred by this chapter on <span class="dictionary">courts</span> not of record having criminal <span class="dictionary">jurisdiction</span>, each such <span class="dictionary">court</span> shall have power to conduct preliminary examinations of persons charged with <span class="dictionary">crime</span> within its <span class="dictionary">jurisdiction</span> in the manner prescribed in Chapter 7 (&#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Who may issue process of arrest" href="/19.2-71/">19.2-71</a> et seq.) of Title 19.2.</p></section></text><history>1956, c. 555; 1960, c. 362.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
