						<section><p><span class="dictionary">The judge</span> may authorize the payment of the fees and mileage provided by <span class="dictionary">law</span> in &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Reimbursement for daily mileage to such witnesses; issuance of warrant necessary to make tender" href="/19.2-278/">19.2-278</a> of any <span class="dictionary">witness</span> or person summoned or otherwise required to appear at the <span class="dictionary">hearing</span> of any case coming within the <span class="dictionary">jurisdiction</span> of <span class="dictionary">the court</span>, which sum shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of funds appropriated in the general appropriations act to the Supreme Court of Virginia.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 16.1-171; 1956, c. 555; 1977, c. 559; 1982, c. 636.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
