						<section><p><span class="dictionary">Judges</span> pro tempore shall serve without compensation from any public treasury, but it shall be lawful for the parties to agree upon and express in their written <span class="dictionary">stipulation</span> any mode or amount of compensation, together with any further agreement as to the taxing of the same as costs.</p></section></text><history>Code 1919, &#xA7; 5901, &#xA7; 17-10; 1998, c. 872.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
