						<section><p>The <span class="dictionary">Court</span> of <span class="dictionary">Appeals</span> shall have authority to punish for <span class="dictionary">contempt</span>. In addition, in such cases over which the <span class="dictionary">court</span> would have <span class="dictionary">appellate jurisdiction</span>, the <span class="dictionary">court</span> shall have <span class="dictionary">original jurisdiction</span> to <span class="dictionary">issue</span> <span class="dictionary">writs</span> of mandamus, prohibition and <span class="dictionary">habeas corpus</span>.</p></section></text><history>1983, c. 413, &#xA7; 17-116.04; 1984, c. 701; 1998, c. 872; 2022, c. 307.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
