						<section><p>If a new or additional <span class="dictionary">circuit</span> is created, a <span class="dictionary">judge</span> or <span class="dictionary">judges</span> shall be elected or appointed thereto in the same manner as provided by <span class="dictionary">law</span> for the filling of vacancies or newly created <span class="dictionary">judgeships</span> in existing <span class="dictionary">circuits</span>.
		During any vacancy from the creation of the new <span class="dictionary">circuit</span> until a <span class="dictionary">judge</span> has been elected or appointed to fill the vacancy and has qualified, terms of the <span class="dictionary">court</span> shall be held by a <span class="dictionary">judge</span> or by <span class="dictionary">judges</span> designated as provided by <span class="dictionary">law</span> in cases of vacancies.</p></section></text><history>Code 1919, &#xA7; 5889, &#xA7; 17-121; 1920, p. 123; 1924, p. 310; 1944, p. 95; 1998, c. 872.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
