						<section><p>If any sheriff or other officer corruptly, or through favor or ill-will, summon a juror, with <span class="dictionary">intent</span> that such juror shall find a <span class="dictionary">verdict</span> for or against either <span class="dictionary">party</span>, he shall be guilty of a Class 3 <span class="dictionary">misdemeanor</span>, and forfeit his office; and he shall be forever incapable of holding any office of honor, profit or trust under the Constitution of Virginia.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 18.1-296; 1960, c. 358; 1975, cc. 14, 15.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
