						<section><p>It shall be unlawful for a person committed to the Department of Juvenile Justice in any juvenile correctional center or detained in a secure juvenile facility or detention home to commit any of the <span class="dictionary">offenses</span> enumerated in &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Felonies by prisoners; penalties" href="/53.1-203/">53.1-203</a>. A violation of this section shall be punishable as a Class 6 <span class="dictionary">felony</span>, except that a violation of subdivision 6 of &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Felonies by prisoners; penalties" href="/53.1-203/">53.1-203</a> is a Class 5 <span class="dictionary">felony</span>.</p></section></text><history>1999, c. 21; 2007, c. 521; 2013, cc. 707, 782.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
