						<section><p>A <span class="dictionary">recognizance</span> which would be taken of a <span class="dictionary">person</span> but for his being a <span class="dictionary">minor</span>, insane or otherwise mentally incapacitated, may be taken of another <span class="dictionary">person</span> and without further <span class="dictionary">surety</span>, if such other <span class="dictionary">person</span> is deemed sufficient, for the performance by such <span class="dictionary">minor</span>, insane or otherwise incapacitated <span class="dictionary">person</span>, of the conditions of the <span class="dictionary">recognizance</span>.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 19.1-134; 1960, c. 366; 1975, c. 495; 1997, c. 801.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
