						<section><p>Whenever a judgment is entered in any <span class="dictionary">court</span> of record in favor of the Commonwealth of Virginia upon a forfeited <span class="dictionary">recognizance</span> or <span class="dictionary">bond</span>, the clerk of the <span class="dictionary">court</span> in which the judgment is rendered shall certify an abstract of the same to the clerk of the <span class="dictionary">circuit</span> <span class="dictionary">court</span> of the county or city wherein the <span class="dictionary">judgment debtor</span> resides or of any city or county in which he may own real property, who shall thereupon enter the abstract of judgment upon his judgment <span class="dictionary">docket</span>.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 19.1-142; 1960, c. 366; 1975, c. 495; 1994, c. 432.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
