						<section><p>Notwithstanding any other provision of <span class="dictionary">law</span>, when, in a proceeding pursuant to this chapter, representation of a respondent by <span class="dictionary">counsel</span> is required under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (50 U.S.C. &#xA7;&#xA0;3901 et seq.) or a <span class="dictionary">guardian ad litem</span> is required by <span class="dictionary">law</span> and there is no other provision for the compensation of <span class="dictionary">counsel</span> or a <span class="dictionary">guardian ad litem</span>, the <span class="dictionary">court</span> may <span class="dictionary">order</span> such <span class="dictionary">counsel</span> or <span class="dictionary">guardian ad litem</span> to be compensated for services pursuant to &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Compensation of court-appointed counsel" href="/19.2-163/">19.2-163</a>.</p></section></text><history>2015, cc. 545, 556.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
