						<section><p>In a procurement by the Department of Transportation by competitive <span class="dictionary">sealed</span> bidding for highway <span class="dictionary">construction</span> and maintenance <span class="dictionary">contracts</span>, the Department may accept bids in response to an Invitation to Bid at the Department&#x2019;s central office or at district offices or other satellite locations designated in the Invitation to Bid, in accordance with specifications adopted by the Department. An Invitation to Bid may authorize agents of the Department to accept from bidders on a voluntary basis a supplemental submission referencing the total bid amount on a form prescribed by the Department. Information contained in any supplemental submission may be made available to the public by the Department after the time for receiving bids has expired and before the public opening and announcement of all <span class="dictionary">sealed</span> bids.</p></section></text><history>1997, c. 164, &#xA7; 11-45.1; 2001, c. 844.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
