						<section><p>If any contractor to whom the work or a portion of the work shall have been let shall fail to perform the same according to the terms specified in his <span class="dictionary">contract</span>, action may be had in behalf of the board of viewers against such contractor on his <span class="dictionary">bond</span> in the <span class="dictionary">circuit</span> <span class="dictionary">court</span> for damage sustained by the levee or drainage project and recovery made against such contractor and his sureties.
