						<section><p>It shall be the duty of each <span class="dictionary">school board</span> to call meetings of the people of the school division for consultation in regard to the school interests thereof when deemed necessary by the <span class="dictionary">school board</span>. The chairman, if present, or, if not, some other member of the <span class="dictionary">school board</span> shall preside at such meetings.
		Each <span class="dictionary">school board</span> is authorized to appoint a committee of not less than three nor more than seven members for each public school in the school division. The committee&#x2019;s duty shall be to advise the members of the <span class="dictionary">school board</span> with reference to matters pertaining to the school and to cooperate with the <span class="dictionary">school board</span> in the care of the school property and in the successful operation of the school.
