						<section><p>Common carriers transporting seafoods designated in this chapter shall carry a bill of lading listing the seafood cargo, the shipper and the consignee. If such cargo is in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter or regulations promulgated thereunder, it shall be taken <span class="dictionary">possession</span> of as provided in &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Powers of officers charged with enforcement; entry to establishment; seizure; destruction" href="/28.2-802/">28.2-802</a>, the shipper shall be held liable and the common carrier shall be relieved of the violations and penalties set forth in this chapter.</p></section></text><history>1962, c. 406, &#xA7; 28.1-183.1; 1992, c. 836.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
