						<section id="A"><p><span class="prefix-number">A.</span> Any person violating any provision of this chapter is guilty of a Class 1 <span class="dictionary">misdemeanor</span>, and may, in addition to or in lieu thereof, be assessed a civil <span class="dictionary">penalty</span>, as provided in &#xA7; <a class="law" title="Civil penalties" href="/3.2-5714/">3.2-5714</a>. <a id="paragraph-253809" class="section-permalink" href="https://vacode.org/3.2-5713/#A"><i class="fa fa-link"/></a></p></section>
