						<section><p>Any person who knowingly disregards, violates, or evades any provision of any section of this article, or of Article 2 (&#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Definitions" href="/3.2-6024/">3.2-6024</a> et seq.), or any regulation or <span class="dictionary">order</span> of the <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span>, <span class="dictionary">Board</span>, <span class="dictionary">State Veterinarian</span>, or his representative, shall, in addition to the punishment otherwise provided for, or any other remedy, be liable to the owner thereof, for any <span class="dictionary">damages</span> to his <span class="dictionary">livestock</span> or <span class="dictionary">poultry</span>, occasioned by such disregarding, violating, or evading of any of such provisions, regulations, or <span class="dictionary">orders</span>.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 3-582; 1966, c. 702, &#xA7; 3.1-740; 2002, c. 185; 2008, c. 860.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
