						<section id="A"><p><span class="prefix-number">A.</span> The <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span> may <span class="dictionary">issue</span> emergency <span class="dictionary">orders</span> in any case where there is an imminent danger to the public health and welfare resulting from the operation of any <span class="dictionary">waterworks</span> or the source of a <span class="dictionary">water supply</span>. The <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span> may <span class="dictionary">order</span> the immediate cessation of the operation of any <span class="dictionary">waterworks</span> or the use of any <span class="dictionary">water supply</span> or the correction of any condition causing the production or distribution of any water constituting an imminent danger to the public health and welfare. Emergency <span class="dictionary">orders</span> shall be effective for a period determined by the <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span>. <a id="paragraph-309046" class="section-permalink" href="https://vacode.org/32.1-175/#A"><i class="fa fa-link"/></a></p></section>
