						<section><p>The <span class="dictionary">Board</span> may provide by regulation for the extension, upon conditions designed to assure compliance with the purposes of this chapter, of the periods prescribed in &#xA7;&#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Filing death certificates; medical certification; investigation by Office of the Chief Medical Examiner" href="/32.1-263/">32.1-263</a>, <a class="law" title="Reports of fetal deaths; medical certification; investigation by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner; confidentiality of information concerning abortions" href="/32.1-264/">32.1-264</a> and <a class="law" title="Transit permits; permits for disinterment and reinterment" href="/32.1-265/">32.1-265</a> for the filing of death certificates, <span class="dictionary">fetal death</span> reports and medical certifications of cause of death and for the obtaining of out-of-state transit permits in cases in which compliance with the applicable prescribed period would result in undue hardship.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 32-353.23; 1960, c. 451; 1979, c. 711.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
