						<section><p>The acquisition of such residue parcels in addition to the lands necessary for the immediate use for <span class="dictionary">highway</span> rights-of-way or purposes incidental to the construction, reconstruction, or improvement of <span class="dictionary">public highways</span> is hereby declared to be in the public interest and constitutes a public use as the term public uses is used in Article I, Section 11 of the Constitution of Virginia.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 33-117.3; 1960, c. 546; 1964, c. 262; 1970, c. 322, &#xA7; 33.1-92; 1971, Ex.
