						<section><p>Notwithstanding any contrary provision of this Code, the <span class="dictionary">Board</span> has the authority to provide, from revenues available for construction programs pursuant to &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Allocation of funds to programs" href="/33.2-358/">33.2-358</a>, except for revenues pledged to secure any <span class="dictionary">bonds</span> issued for transportation purposes, for exceptionally heavy expenditures for repairs or replacements made necessary by <span class="dictionary">highway</span> damage resulting from extraordinary accidents, vandalism, weather conditions, or acts of God as well as to respond to federal funding initiatives that require matching funds.</p></section></text><history>1986, Sp.
