						<section><p>As used in this chapter, unless the context requires a different meaning:
		&#x201C;<span class="dictionary">Limited access highway</span>&#x201D; means a highway especially designed for through traffic, over which abutters have no easement or right of light, air, or access by reason of the <span class="dictionary">fact</span> that their property abuts upon such <span class="dictionary">limited access highway</span>.
		&#x201C;<span class="dictionary">Scenic highway</span>&#x201D; means a highway, designated as such by the <span class="dictionary">Board</span>, within a protected scenic corridor located, designed, and constructed so as to preserve and enhance the natural beauty and cultural value of the countryside.
		&#x201C;<span class="dictionary">Virginia byway</span>&#x201D; means a highway, designated as such by the <span class="dictionary">Board</span>, having relatively high aesthetic or cultural value, leading to or within areas of historical, natural, or recreational significance.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7;&#xA7; 33-37, 33-43.3; 1966, c. 11; 1970, c. 322, &#xA7;&#xA7; 33.1-57, 33.1-64; 2014, c. 805.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
