						<section><p>Any person desiring to have a road abandoned may <span class="dictionary">petition</span> the governing body to abandon such road by filing the <span class="dictionary">petition</span> and a reasonably accurate plat and description of the section proposed to be abandoned with the governing body and in the clerk&#x2019;s office of the county.
