						<section><p>Notwithstanding the provisions of &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Enumeration of powers" href="/36-19/">36-19</a>, an <span class="dictionary">authority</span> established in the <span class="dictionary">City</span> of Roanoke shall not <span class="dictionary">contract</span> for the construction of any housing unit that has not been contracted for on or before March 6, 1952, or acquire land for or purchase <span class="dictionary">material</span> for the construction or installation of any sewerage, streets, sidewalks, lights, power, water, or any other facilities for any housing units or projects on or before such date, unless a comprehensive plan for such unit or project has been approved by the governing body of the <span class="dictionary">city</span>.</p></section></text><history>1952, c. 200; 1975, c. 575.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
