						<section><p>The <span class="dictionary">Board</span> shall appoint an internal evaluation committee to be composed of at least three members of the <span class="dictionary">Board</span> who shall review and evaluate the effects of designated policies of the <span class="dictionary">Board</span> and the performance of the <span class="dictionary">Department</span>, <span class="dictionary">state</span> facilities, <span class="dictionary">community services boards</span>, and behavioral health authorities in carrying out those policies. The committee and any staff designated by the <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span> shall have access to all records of the <span class="dictionary">Department</span>, <span class="dictionary">state</span> facilities, <span class="dictionary">community services boards</span>, and behavioral health authorities in carrying out these monitoring activities. The committee shall report its <span class="dictionary">findings</span> to the <span class="dictionary">Board</span>, which shall take action thereon as it deems appropriate.</p></section></text><history>1980, c. 582, &#xA7; 37.1-10.1; 2005, c. 716.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
