						<section><p>Any <span class="dictionary">insurer</span> that accepts applications from an unlicensed agent or does not appoint a licensed agent pursuant to the provisions of &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Appointments of agents" href="/38.2-1833/">38.2-1833</a> shall be penalized as provided in &#xA7;&#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Penalties and restitution payments" href="/38.2-218/">38.2-218</a> and <a class="law" title="Refusal, suspension or revocation of license" href="/38.2-1040/">38.2-1040</a>.</p></section></text><history>1985, c. 616, &#xA7; 38.1-327.44:3; 1986, c. 562; 1987, c. 521.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
