						<section><p>The <span class="dictionary">Commission</span> may investigate and determine, (i) upon its own <span class="dictionary">motion</span>, (ii) at the request of any citizen of this Commonwealth, or (iii) at the request of any <span class="dictionary">insurer</span> subject to this chapter, whether <span class="dictionary"><span class="dictionary">rates</span></span> in this Commonwealth for the <span class="dictionary">insurance</span> to which this chapter applies are excessive, inadequate or unfairly discriminatory. In accordance with its <span class="dictionary">findings</span>, the <span class="dictionary">Commission</span> may <span class="dictionary">order</span> changes in the <span class="dictionary"><span class="dictionary">rates</span></span> that are fair and <span class="dictionary">equitable</span> to all interested parties. In any investigation and determination, the <span class="dictionary">Commission</span> shall give due consideration to those factors specified in subsection B of &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Provisions governing making of rates" href="/38.2-2005/">38.2-2005</a>.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7;&#xA7; 38-212, 38-253.23, 38-253.69; 1952, c. 317, &#xA7; 38.1-255; 1986, c. 562.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
