						<section><p>Subject to the <span class="dictionary">Commission</span>&#x2019;s approval, a <span class="dictionary">rate</span> in excess of that provided by an applicable filing may be used for a specific risk upon the filing of (i) written application of an <span class="dictionary">insurer</span> stating its reasons for the increased <span class="dictionary">rate</span>, accompanied by (ii) the written consent of the insured or prospective insured.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7;&#xA7; 38-211, 38-253.32, 38-253.78; 1952, c. 317, &#xA7; 38.1-262; 1986, c. 562.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
